COVID-19 Updates

CORONAVIRUS/COVID-19 UPDATE 05/26 (WE ARE OPEN!)

Dear Patients and Families,

We are excited to see you soon. We would like everyone to know that the health and safety of our patients, team members and community is of utmost importance to us.

Please note the following changes to our office protocols due to the Coronavirus pandemic:

  • Our office will communicate with you beforehand to ask some screening questions. If you feel sick or have a fever, please cancel your appointment.
  • Arriving at the appointment please call our office to confirm your arrival. A staff member wills greet you at the door. While inside the office, screening questions will be asked again, and your temperature will be taken. Anyone with a temperature of 100.4 degrees will be rescheduled.
  • We ask only the patient and if absolutely necessary one adult accompany the patient into the office.
  • All people entering the office must wear a facemask. Also please make sure you brush your teeth at home before coming to your appointment.

Infection Control Procedures

We have always conformed to Universal Precautions to prevent transmission of infections and will continue to do so. The following are additional steps we have taken to provide you with a safer environment:

  • All staff will be screened for illness and fever at the beginning of each workday. Anyone with a temperature of 100.4 degrees will be send home immediately.
  • Sneeze guards are in place.
  • Fewer patients will be seen to allow for social distancing.
  • Appointments that involve production of aerosols will only be done at specific times of the day.
  • Air purifiers will be placed in the operatories.
  • The clinical staff will be wearing surgical or N-95 masks as well as a face shield and a gown.

We will continue to monitor the latest state mandates and Maryland dental society’s recommendations and modify our procedures accordingly. We look forward to see you soon.
